Windswept Style Bonsais
Broom Style Bonsais
Pierneef style broom (open umbrella) bonsais are unique to South Africa. The style is inspired by trees in Africa, whose foliage is stripped till high up the trunk by animals such as giraffes.
Broom is considered to be one of most difficult styles to shape. Pierneef is probably easier. Tried shaping few plants below. Still needs lot of work.
